You have a couple options. Start with the receiver and see if you can use analog direct input and an analog passthrough simultaneously. The passthrough would go straight to the sub. If there is no analog out like my sony 5.1 then maybe the tape/record out could be sent to the sub while using analog direct. You'll have to experiment, but 'bass management' of any kind will probably do AD-DA. Barring all that, you could see if the benchmark outputs balanced and single ended simultaneously, and run one to the sub.
