You seem to think that its a brute fact that you can I hear the difference, even though you didn't do a blind test. Of course, denying the existence of brute facts is silly. But is it really a brute fact? The only way to make sure is to do a blind test. If you can ABX them, then there's a real difference. If you can't, then you can't. Of course, it doesn't necessarily mean that there isn't a difference. If only one person can ABX them, then you're right: there's a difference, even if 99.9% of us poor slobs can't tell them apart.
