Hi Skunk! Thanks for the words of encouragement. I decided to go with a couple of high quality enclosures from DIYenclosures.com. They are more expensive than Par Metal but they look fantastic, pretty much like high-end equipment.
The 12A power supply arrived yesterday. It's a beauty. I was glad to find it has a bunch of small caps in parallel instead of single big one. This is considered good practice. I'm pretty much willing to go ahead with this project. The only thing holding me back is the possible introduction of an improved SB4 model later this year. However, with the Logitech acquisition, the new product is probably going to be a budget model to crack the low-end Roku market. If this is the case, there will be no need to "upgrade" from the SB2/SB3. So, the plan goes ahead. I'll start with the massive power supply first and later with the SB2 itself.
