Hey, thanks very much for the quick replies. I'll check out the EAC, and might get started on the ripping. The last thing I'd ever want to do is 're-rip' all the CD's.
On the computer end, I currently have an aging laptop, which I intend to augment with a suitably newer and faster desktop. A wireless router would also allow me to use the laptop remotely. In the meantime, I'll rip the CD's and pictures onto a USB drive (all contained within a separate room).
