Hi again opaqueice. I have received an email from emotive audio to say they do not ship ouside of the US, and that they do not have a supplier in the UK, so that looks like that! Many thanks for the input though.
A big thanks too to DannyL and adamslim. The valve amps seem a great idea, but I don't know enough about all the different chinese models to know a good one from a bad one. I also know that the amp won't be cleaned that often on top of my kitchen cupboards, so eventually the quirky looking amps with be covered in dust. If the sound was worth it though, this wouldn't be a problem. I'll also keep an eye on the phase 2. Although not a looker (imho), that wouldn't matter at all, and the fact that you have recommended them with my 702e's is great. The old british 'classic' amps would also be an option, but I do like the idea of things like the 'auto on' feature etc on modern amps. However sound quality is the most important feature and if one of these 'old' amps can supply it at the price range I'm looking for, then all the better.
