Oooops ... Update...

dBpowerAMP updated their codecs yesterday and fixed their FLAC 96kHz
bug! The application can now process 96kHz FLAC files without any
problem. To resample a 96kHz FLAC to 48kHz, download the Music
Converter DSP Effects R1 which was released on May 19th, and install
that after installing dBpowerAMP. Use the DSP "resample" tool and
recode FLAC to FLAC. It works well.

So, Adamslim is right - it is easy to do all this in dBpowerAMP - great
program.

In addition, Audacity released a new version as well on May 18th. They
also had a FLAC problem but theirs was related to handling 24bit files
- and that has been fixed!
