I am planning to buy a pair of Beolab 5 speakers from Bang&Olufsen for my living room. They have a direct digital input and a built-in "Analog devices 192kHz/24-bit D/A converter rated at a 114 dB dynamic range".
Most of my music collection is in WMA lossless format. Which configuration do you think is better for sound quality in my living room?: Music server -> Squeezebox digital output -> Beolab 5 SPDIF input or Music server -> Transporter digital output -> Beolab 5 SPDIF input In both cases, I would connect also the analog output (of the Squeezebox or the Transporter) to the B&O loudspeakers throughout the rest of house by the Masterlink home sound distribution system. They are mostly BeoLab 3. -- OFFICERTOM ------------------------------------------------------------------------ OFFICERTOM's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9840 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35923 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
