An important consideration is whether or not you use balanced (xlr) cables for the TP.
IMS the balanced was significantly smoother, no glare etc. , on the stock TP. With balanced cabling there was no discernable difference between a modded or stock TP. There was far more dif between rca and xlr than there was between the 2 TP's (virtually no dif. between the TP's) If your amp is balanced you might want to try that first. One difficulty living in europe would be no cheap way to audition a modded TP.
