This is not 100% true. What you say is true, but for no more than 75% of 
CDs. And many use very fancy convolution reverbs to fake out acoustic 
soundfields.

A lot of classical, jazz, and folk/Americana has real sound fields. Many 
even have caring engineers. Pop/rock/hip/trance/... not so much. Then 
again, if you look at sales, your 99.999% is probably close.

p.s. all numbers 100% invented SWAGs. YMMV
