Afraid this is a "no -win" situation for me. My efforts for "Affordable
Audio" (we are al volunteer by the way) requires me to keep a decent
system for comparisions. If the euipment is budget level, then people
aruge that I cannot properly evaluate gear due to the fact that I do
not know what "good stuff" is or have it on hand for comparison. The
other side says that the gear I have on hand is too expensive, and not
in spirit with the title of "Affordable Audio". So what would you want
me to say.

My goal is to use the SB as essentially a transport. My DAC accets only
RCA in, so that pretty well sets my requirements. Since the SB offers
RCA digital out it appears to be a good match. Since I am comparing it
to a early 90's era JVC CDP which cost me a total of $150(thats
affordable isnt it?) then it should be fair comparison. And both units
get to use the same digital cable.

I am here to find out the correct wy to get the SB to its potential.
And my computer skills are rudimentary at best. Pleas be patient with
me as I learn what I need to know.
