I would tend to think it is because Mr Lavry wants it that way. Or because he agrees that balanced is better for his intended customers. I am amazed that so many audiophile products still use RCA connectors. They are cheap, and understood, but they sure leave a lot to be desired. Everything in my recording studio is balanced. I ran my SB to Benchmark to my amp using balanced, and my Transporter is connected to my amp using balanced. A proper balanced pre-amp or amp will cost a little more than one using unbalanced, RCA jacks.
