It turns out I'm in the process of building one of these. I'm putting together a DAC based on: http://www.diyparadise.com/dackit/1545bdackit.html At the time, Yeo had a deal on a bundled pair of: http://diyparadise.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=4 http://diyparadise.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=64 This project needs a power supply and enclosure to match. I came across the AMB site via diyaudio.com. I'm not sure I'd say that the total cost of the sigma11 is low. I've spent roughly $70 (not including shipping) on parts so far. The biggest single cost being about $25 for the rather nice toroidal transformer. I have yet to order the enclosure, but the one I have in mind will cost another $80 or so. The cheaper ones look, well, cheap. -- quietdragon ------------------------------------------------------------------------ quietdragon's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10412 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=20855 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
