Ok, I've tried the switching around with the volume control turned down, and now I do hear the noise burst when I switch between inputs. I hadn't noticed this before, as I run my TP at full volume, and have a habit of turning the volume down a bit (on the preamp) before switching any inputs....
I've also had a chance to plug in some other digital sources into the TP, I've now got Toslink, BNC, and AES/EBU in play, but so far I haven't been able to into the mute condition. Every thing continues to play just fine....
