OK Slimserver 6.5.1 and FW27 everything works fine. I can swap freely bewtween digital input and slimserver (both ways) with either of them playing or paused before the swap.
Slimserver 6.5.3 and FW31 Slimserver playing and switch to digital input:ok digital input playing and switch to slimserver: no sound until power cycle digital input paused and switch to slimserver:ok slimserver paused and switch to digital input: no sound unitl power cycle (unless digital input was paused the previous time, see below). However ,I noticed if I go from slimserver playing to digital input, pause, back to slimserver, pause then back to digital the digital now works but sometimes it wil go back to slimserver, other times it wont. Odd. Slimserver 7.0a1 FW31 slimserver playing and switch to digital input:ok digital input playing and switch to slimserver:ok slimserver paused and switch to digital input:ok digital input paused and switch to slimserver:ok There you go. It works for me! Clearly 7.0a1 and FW31 are good for me for some reason. The only other variable: the first 2 tests ie SS6.5.1 and SS6.5.3 were carried out on the same PC all connected together using wired ethernet. SS7 was installed on a wireless laptop which was connected the music files wireless on another PC (so I had 2 way transfers of files at the same time).
