It sounds like you have everything you need to determine whether WAV sounds different than FLAC - it's just that you can't do on-the-fly decoding. If you don't hear a difference when you stream a 24/48 WAV as opposed to the original Linn 24/48 FLAC, then there's no problem, just continue to use the FLACs. If you think the WAV sounds better, then convert all the FLACs to WAV with dbPowerAmp - again, no problem. Since your whole library is WAV, you aren't hurting for disc space.
