I wish Steve had mastered the CD version - the tracks off this album
have RG values of -10.5 dB or more.  It doesn't sound as obviously
clipped as -Californication-, but that's a notorious example of bad
mastering.

I suppose we could hope that record execs wake up to this monstrosity,
but if they're still blaming the lack of CD sales on illegal downloads,
they have miles to go before they're even aware what colour the sky is
here on this planet.

What I've always wondered is - is this compression and clipping
happening on the master?  In which case, that music is damaged forever.
Not that you'd want to preserve the drek the latest
flavour-of-the-month artists put out anyway...
