Very cool !! ... Thanks for pointing to these multitrack sources. I had never really paid much attention to Nine Inch Nails, but I think I will delve into this stuff a bit. I wonder if (with the next generation of optical discs like Blu-ray and HD-DVD) it is technically possible to have all releases in this manner. Would it be possible for the interactivity controls provided with these discs (i.e. Java & HDi) to carry out the mixes in real time based on pre-provided instructions rather than having an actual premixed track? That way optimal mixes can be dynamically generated depending on the listening scenario & equipment while retaining the option to tweak manually. -- Nikhil ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nikhil's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=993 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=37844 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
