Very cool !! ... Thanks for pointing to these multitrack sources. I had
never really paid much attention to Nine Inch Nails, but I think I will
delve into this stuff a bit.

I wonder if (with the next generation of optical discs like Blu-ray and
HD-DVD) it is technically possible to have all releases in this manner.
Would it be possible for the interactivity controls provided with these
discs (i.e. Java & HDi) to carry out the mixes in real time based on
pre-provided instructions rather than having an actual premixed track?
That way optimal mixes can be dynamically generated depending on the
listening scenario & equipment while retaining the option to tweak
manually.
