Thank you! I've been considering subs too, but it's a tough sell to my wife, because honestly, the Mo-Fi's go down below 30Hz on their own. They just won't do it at concert level, which is usually louder than I want anyway. I have looked at an external DAC too. Benchmark is the only one I've really checked out, though, and it's a bit pricey. The headphone amp function would be nice, though, since my pre doesn't have one. I'm just ripping favorite tracks right now, not whole albums. I only have a 250G hard drive and that's gotta serve the whole family, so...maybe a dedicated pc down the road! (There's always something!!) Thanks for the suggestions! So far, my only beef with Windows Media Player is the fact It won't seem to let me edit tags for individual tracks; only for albums.
