I found in an older thread here a suggestion from Inguz which enables some very crude 'notch' filters to be implemented.

I then set up 17 bands in the preset file, turned off RC, and loaded the new preset. It certainly cures my boomy sub, though not sure yet whether I prefer the weaker RC filters.
