I believe, IMHO, YMMV, etc. that one must connect their SlimServer via
copper wire (or fibre) to the hub/switch/router. From there, wireless to
the SB3 or transporter is fine.

With the usual wireless setup, which is essentially
SlimServer <=> hub <==> SB
you are sending four wireless packets for every music packet. Since the
over the air format is TCP/IP, you send the packet, and get back a
response for each hop.

All that wireless energy has to make your cat go blind

In the olden days, I had to use wired to the SB because SB1s didn't do
Flac and my wifi setup didn't deliver enough bandwidth.
