I went from wireless to wired a few months ago and I didn't notice a difference in sound quality. I am using an external DAC so it may be why I don't hear a difference. Or my ears just aren't what they used to be. The wired connection is a lot more reliable but I don't think that was related to the Slimserver/Squeezebox. I think that wireless connections in general have some reliability issues.
