IMO, it is all really "in the ears of the beholder," i.e., if someone feels that an expensive cable makes his system sound better, that is great.
For my money, I want to know that the difference is perceivable. 1) Demonstrate that someone, somewhere, on some system can reliably tell the difference, and then I am more than willing to discuss 2) whether that difference constitutes an improvement, and 3) whether that improvement is worth the cost. Does that make me an objectivist/subjectivist/subjectivist? :) I also note that beyond a certain price point, I am predisposed to answer 3) negatively. -- jeffmeh ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jeffmeh's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3986 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=38902 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
