Thank you all for explaining how the volume control works. I have a question though. When playing 16bit audio there is a headroom of 8 bits to do the volume control, this is clear. Can anyone explain what happens when I play 24bit content on my Transporter?
I'm planning to build my own amp based on the ClassD modules from Hypex. I've have yet to deside if I make a real poweramp, or integrate a passive preamp. Would a good analog volume control perform better?
