What was the room like? I had Gallos (and a good friend of mine still has) and they really are very good. But you need to be very careful of early reflections (and ideally have a fairly big room) to make the best of them. For example mine needed to sit quite close to walls, and side panels per this photo made a huge difference. (http://cabezal.com/pix/20070422_Gallo.JPG)
