Yes, except you don't want them synch'ed - you have to be able to adjust delay between drivers in each speaker and the left and right speakers themselves. What you're describing is equivalent to a TacT RCS 2.2 mini, that costs $3k. You can build your own convolver PC for maybe $1500 do do the same thing. It would go after the SB3 and before the amps. I think it's unrealistic to expect to stream 4 to 8 lossless channels to 2 to 4 squeezebox equivalents (since my speakers aren't 2-way, they're 4-way) and rely on unwritten free software to drive them.
