I do like the B&W 805s, and they would be my first choice for my desktop update if I weren't willing to go for the Dynaudio C1s. I also run N804s in my HT. Personally I like B&W with Rotel on the cheaper side, or Musical Fidelity, McIntosh, or Classe on the higher end. You can pick up a used Musical Fidelity A3.5 for less than $1k, or you could pick up a Rotel RB-1080 + RC-1070 type setup for a reasonable price if you want new.
