Hi Phil, Nickel's worth of free advice, don't buy the inventory of a used CD store that is going out of business! And some of them, I would not even call sound. It has taken over two years just to get all the dups sold off and get a good start on ripping to FLAC. I am a little over a fifth of the way through. I bought 3 new CDs last week. If I don't stop buying, I will never get done. I also did something very stupid by building a quick Excel Spreadsheet to track the CDs. I imported my super tagger list into Excel and was happy until the list got to big and crashed Excel. I put a new artist in the list and everything above "J" disappeared. I am using a relational data base now. I have two funny rooms (meaning there are not really good for anything but storage) in the basement full of CDs. The insurance company was going to figure the insurance on full retail. I said what for. He said in case they are stolen. I said insure them only against loss (fire, acts of God, etc). I will never be on vacation long enough for somebody to have the time to steal them all! -- iPhone iPhone Last.FM http://www.lastfm.com/user/mePhone Media Room: Transporter, Vandersteen Quatro Signature, Ayre MX-R Mono Blocks, VTL TL-6.5 Signature Pre-Amp, VCC-5 Reference Center Channel, four VSM-1 Signatures, Runco 710, RAM Oppo DV970HD, VeraStarr 6.4SE Living Room: Squeezebox 3, Vandersteen Model 3A Signature, Two 2Wq subs, VCC-2, Two VSM-1, ADCOM GTP-870HD, Cinepro 3K6SE III Gold Bedroom: Squeezebox 3, Thiel 2.3, NAD C370 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ iPhone's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13622 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=39694 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
