I have heard the Modwright TP (more or less) side-by-side with the stock TP. No doubt the TP is outstanding, but the Mod is significantly better sounding imho. Much deeper soundstage and more life like, live sounding imaging. More musical compared to the the stock TP, which if it has a flaw, is slightly analytical.I did not hear any increase in distortion.
I love the SB3 and think it sounds wonderful for a $300 box.
