I am very glad that someone else validate my Pi-times-thumb guideline. Not sure what it is, because I tried lens cleaners and what not, but the results head downhill, and I wish the manufacturers would provide a guideline on the expected lifetime for accurate rips. Perhaos there is a market for a slower, engineerd for mechanical excellence drive designed for audiophile ripping? I would consider it, but perhaps it's best to toss $150 into the trashbin every so many rips... -- pablolie ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pablolie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3816 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42435 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
