I am running my TP directly into my power amps w/no pre. When I select a digital input (rca for cd, optical for dvd), the only way I can consistently get it to work is to push play. However, when I do, I get a horrible pop. Same problem when I go from input to play music from SS (although I can power off to avoid that).
Very annoying and I fear for my speakers. On a couple of occasions, I have been able to successfully select an input by pushing right on the remote or pushing the knob on the TP. It does not pop when I do that, but I cannot consistently select the input that way.The manual says that I must exit both SS and SN to select w/right push/knob method. However, I seem to always be in one or the other. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I know many run the TP directly into their amps.
