This is something you can answer for yourself - just do a comparison. Any important comparison (choosing what equipment to use or buy) should be done level-matched using an SPL meter, otherwise it will be hopelessly biased toward the louder component.
Also, I recommend strongly you do the comparison blind - likely you'll need a friend to help.
