The whole thing's sad, really.

Remastering should mean, in my view, restoring and listening to the
original master tapes, listening to the pressings from the time and
working out what the artist/producer/mixer was aiming for.  And then do
it again, with all this fantastic new sparkly technology to make it
sound better than the technology of the day allowed.

BUT INSTEAD I'VE TURNED EVERYTHING UP TO 11 AND NOW MINE'S BIGGER THAN
YOURS!!!!!

So I've signed up, and I'll be pointing all of my friends to this link
as well.
