I dunno...why does the Transporter sound better than a $29 DVD player? Why do some people think wav files sound better than flac files? Why do some think tone controls degrade the sound even if they can be defeated? I don't KNOW that the display has any effect on the sound; I was postulating that it might because the lack of display is a major difference in the architecture of the 2 players. Isn't it a widely-held audiophile belief that any circuitry not in the audio signal path has the potential to degrade the sound? -- Pale Blue Ego ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pale Blue Ego's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=110 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43087 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
