For me the Transporter is one piece of a successful device. Even if one doesn't use or value each and every feature as * analog output section * digital output section * dual displays * knob & buttons * black/silver rack-sized case * WLAN/Ethernet support * plays hires-audio this makes more sense than selling x different products each with a subset of these features - the price would certainly not drop proportional to the amount of removed properties. On the other hand the SBC will hopefully fill one (last) gap in achieving the attempt "music listening in the 21nd century"
How much would i like to see a video device with such comfort and quality... * plays all formats * has different output options * controlled by webinterface, remote-control with a display and builtin buttons/knobs * streaming content from my server and the internet <dreaming mode off> This would be my "Transporter 2" - without replacing the (still) great "Transporter 1" :-) It'll probably take many years until i can buy one of these... regards, Markus -- schiegl ------------------------------------------------------------------------ schiegl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6654 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43466 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
