I like mine pretty much as is. I never use the magic knob, but it is cool. I use a laptop or my Controller to pick music. I have only used one of the hard buttons on the front, the power button, which I think is really not a power button, but more of an "attention" button. The pseudo-rack handles are silly. I could see having optional real rack ears for folks who want it in a 19" rack, but I'm not sure there are really any customers for that. As far as I'm concerned, it could be in a smaller case, but many audiophiles want big cases and would prefer it to be much heavier. A bigger display would be good for me, I'm getting too old to see the tiny display from across the room, and I'm not willing to get out of my favorite listening chair. This is, of course, why the Controller was invented. So I'm not sure how important the display on the unit itself is. I wouldn't call it an 'improvement' but it might be cool to have a switchable pair of analog stages, one nice clean solid state, one creamy tubes. -- Pat Farrell http://www.pfarrell.com/ _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
