You should get the balanced interconnect ASAP Yes I did A/B test between running balanced with the canare XLR and a top of the line Kimber Select rca Silver cable. The benchmark DAC1 has both balanced and single ended outputs that may be used simultaneously.... I ended up with the cheap cable and running balanced, every time... Difference being more than subtle.
