My point (rather badly made I admit) is that in the UK the RCD/ELCB
breakers will be set to trip at lower current (15mA) because of Ohms
Law and - usually - fast enough to stop you dying...

Anyway, the key point is that the preservation of mains "phase" is a
debatable issue. I have a "sniffer" that can detect RFI. If you reverse
the Live/Neutral connections you can get a lower reading on some gear.
However, I can't hear any audible difference in reproduction quality.
My conclusion was...leave things alone.

Proper earth/grounding is much more important IMHO.

You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it
ain't what you'd call minimal...SB3+Stontronics PSU - Altmann
JISCO/UPCI - TACT RCS 2.2X with Good Vibrations S/W - MF X-DAC
V3/X-PSU/X-10 buffer (Audiocomm full mods)- Linn 5103 - Linn Aktiv 5.1
system (6x LK140's, ESPEK/TRIKAN/KATAN/SEIZMIK 10.5), Townsend
Supertweeters, Kimber & Chord cables
