Mr. Bill. Thanks. I did not own the stock, but I did some extensive listening to the stock version before I sprung for the mod. Both are teriffic, but I really like the warm tube sound of the Mod.
I am pretty happy running the TP directly into the monos. It definitely sounds better than it did with my old integrated as the pre (pre and power separated). I cannot imagine a pre adding much as it really sounds great as is. The only drwback is the volume; the lowest volume setting is way too loud.
