I have never used the volume control on my squeezebox (it's always > on 100%), and I don't want to use another (amplifier) controller. You say you always have the Squeezebox volume at 100%. You probably do that for the same reason a lot of others believe it's the way to get best quality. But there are reasons why such belief is mistaken. I won't reiterate them here - try searching the forums where you will find lots of threads that discuss the issue.
Try setting the volume on your Nait so that with the volume on the Squeezebox at 100% the music is as loud as you'll ever want. Now control day-to-day listening levels with the Squeezebox volume. Try to keep an open mind about what you expect to hear. It's a simple experiment, you have nothing to lose, and it might just be a simple solution to your dilemma. -- cliveb Transporter -> ATC SCM100A ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cliveb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=348 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=45736 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
