Well recorded vinyl can sound great; well recorded CDs can sound great. The key is WELL RECORDED. Many vinyl albums have problems, just as many CDs do. IMHO vinyl itself is not the magic, nor are CDs; it's the recording and mastering process... There are a few recordings, irrelevant of the medium, which possess the "magic", there are many "average" recordings, and there are far too many poor recordings...
