I've got two SB3 rigs (city apt and weekend cabin). In the city, I've used an old but excellent Adcom DAC to feed the SB digital output to my Consonance int amp. In the country, the SB3 feeds into the digital input of my Musical Fidelity CD/Pre24 into a Quad 909. In both cases, I like the digital output better than the SB's analogue ones -- not night and day, but enough to be worthwhile.
