Okay - I guess an easier way would have been to keep TwistedFLAC mounted (on the server PowerMac) and then just use iTunes (laptop) to discover and share the files. Works both ways.
I'm getting beyond the point of my original post. The purpose was to point our that you can have FLACs for use with the SB and play on iTunes them without converting them.
