That's not what people are saying.

We're saying that the difference between the SB3 DAC and a $400-$500 DAC 
is likely not all that significant, and that a better use of funds might 
be to look at other areas of the system.

Of course, if the rest of your system is well-sorted, then a DAC upgrade 
*may* bring improvement. But, in that case, you'd probably be better off 
with a considerably better DAC, rather than a slightly better one.
