And fan. If a noicy computer is in the listening room it has an audible effect when playing at low volum... I have an air turbulence noice with the fan that are driving air out of the box.Not very high though, but i want to kill it. Without this fan the computer whould be almost dead silent. Is this fan imprtant. I want to cut the wire.
I have read that the CPU plug/psu on the motherboard(not he on at the rear of the box) makes more noice feeding millions of transistors. Millions of transistors tapping up and down. More expensive motherboard > usally more quality mother board components(silent). I dont think it is a problem with todays computers/SB/DAC/soundcards. Especially not when connected wia ethernet. This post is also an excuse not to do the whasing-up(kitchen) yet, but later. In a 4-5 weeks time, i will "maybe" try SB3 digital in to a soundcard and then analog out. If i can install Japanese software. Maybe difficult to find English software to this soundcard. English driver setup to the chipset on soundcard is possible i think. -- eiret ------------------------------------------------------------------------ eiret's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11521 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49763 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
