Not a good idea. Power amps and integrated amps built for the US market are 120 volt whereas those built for the European market are 220 volt. Because amplifiers have such a high current draw one cannot use a standard voltage converter. In fact one would need a very large voltage converter, one capable of passing the required current to the amp without any restrictions. Where one can find just such a voltage converter I have no idea. So basically, if you need a 220 volt amp, buy a 220 volt amp. -- ralphpnj Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels -> Snatch -> The Transporter -> Transporter 2 'Last.fm' (http://www.last.fm/user/jazzfann/) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ralphpnj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10827 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51122 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
