The SB3 also have IR remote and accessible menus which makes it much easier the set-up ip config and everything, fixed ip's are a breeze.
As SC also can understand JVC remote codes ( alegacy feature still supported) it's quite possible to use the SB3 with most universal remotes delivered with your other hifi. The IR and display is also nice if somebody else is using your controller. The SB3 can also be switched back and forth from SN solely via the web-UI. You also get and headphone output and the possibility to run the IR blaster plugin Soundwise i don't know, but i like my stuff with more options and flexibility. I think you can get really good deals on the SB3 ( SB classic) these days. If I could see it it would use an SB3 ( I already do in my hifi ) If I would toss it into a cabinet where the IR and display would make no difference I would go for the Receiver (i do that in my kitchen ) -- Mnyb ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53073 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
