The SB3 also have IR remote and accessible menus which makes it much
easier the set-up ip config and everything, fixed ip's are a breeze.

As SC also can understand JVC remote codes ( alegacy feature still
supported) it's quite possible to use the SB3 with most universal
remotes delivered with your other hifi.

The IR and display is also nice if somebody else is using your
controller.

The SB3 can also be switched back and forth from SN solely via the
web-UI.
You also get and headphone output and the possibility to run the IR
blaster plugin

Soundwise i don't know, but i like my stuff with more options and
flexibility.
I think you can get really good deals on the SB3 ( SB classic) these
days.

If I could see it it would use an SB3 ( I already do in my hifi )
If I would toss it into a cabinet where the IR and display would make
no difference I would go for the Receiver (i do that in my kitchen )
