Yes there is a difference. The two units use different DACs. But other then that they are about the same audio wise. And again the difference in the two DACs is very slight. I believe Slim Devices picked the High Fidelity Wolfson® 24-bit DAC because of its similarities to the SB Classic DAC. But again, they do have different DACs.
