Chaps Hoping for some advice please.
I've currently got a SB1 in the garage hooked up to some old speakers, and SB2 in the kitchen hooked up to a mini system and an SB3 in the office hooked up to another mini system. All files are ripped with EAC to MP3 VBR and stored on a dedicated XP based mediaserver in the loft. For what it was designed to do it works great. However my long term plan when the lounge rennovations were finished (they now are) was to purchase a Transporter and go for the absolute best ripping and storage options possible, for use in the lounge. Obviously I will need to rerip the whole collection, but other than time thats no big deal All Rooms were CAT5 Floodwired when I rennovated. so; Ripping, Is EAC still the best, I've just downloaded the latest 0.99 beta? if so any tips for best results? Storage Master plan was to store all music in FLAC WAV files for use by Squeezcentre and then mass convert to MP3, WMA or AAC for use in the Car/Mobile environment as needed. Can EAC handle ripping directly to Flac with Tags? if not what do I need?
