If all toslink parts (transmitter, connectors, cable, receiver) are
well made and you compare it to a well made coax (with well made parts
again: transformers, transmitter, connectors, cable, receiver) than
there should be no difference when the two devices are the same. Mark
that I wrote -should- ;-) Also, "no difference" is different from "at
least as good".
