Yea, my hearing isn't that bad. I can still hear to about 18khz at 30+ years. There is a common thing in San Francisco to put out "high frequency" sound emitters to keep pigeons from nesting. But they're well within my hearing range. Same thing goes for standard analog NTSC tube TVs. The most annoying sound ever.
The caltrain station in SF is the worst offender. They have a VERY loud 15-18khz sweep of audio on their PA every few min. Of course all the old conductors don't hear it. -- SuperQ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ SuperQ's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2139 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53636 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
